Oscars Eve Party Press Release:

On Saturday February 21, the Trail Bay Mall will be transformed into The Oscars Eve Party room by numerous volunteers and supporters for the 2nd annual event. All funds raised go to Sunshine Coast Hospice Society and Sechelt Elementary School Enhancement Project.
Oscars Eve is a fun event where attendees can come as themselves to party with celebrities or masquerade as the rich and famous, a movie star, royalty (if that is your thing) or a famous (or perhaps infamous) person.
There will be multiple photo ops on The RED CARPET. Starting at 7PM attendees have the opportunity to get their photo taken with Marilyn Munro (Tanya Hall) and Bob Hope (Matt Morris) the evenings Emcee’s. Additionally, participants can have their souvenir shot at the event. It is rumored Mary Hart will take time out of her busy schedule to interview celebrities, famous and infamous Sunshine Coast people. Those not wishing to walk the red carpet can be part of Gawkers row and observe those who walk. Trying to guess the participants in-costume persona is equally fun.
When the Gala doors open at 7:30 participants will partake of a tasting of “The Bubbly” and Northern Divine Caviar. In addition, all participants will be able to taste a variety of wines from BC and pair them with the fine presentations of selected local food establishments. Live music for listening and/or dancing will be presented by the members of the Alan James Revue. Trailers for the nominated films will be showing on large screen TVs throughout the venue. A silent art auction is assembled for art collectors.
The Oscar Eve Party buzz is all about the RAFFLES, PRIZES and SWAG! One lucky participant will be taking home a West Jet raffle prize estimated value is $3,000. There are prizes for costumes, Oscar ballots, and door prizes. Additionally, everyone will be taking home an, Oscars Eve Party bag with SWAG from the business community. I would give you a value of the Swag Bag but the contributions keep coming in. What we can say is the Swag has a value greater that the ticket price.
With tickets priced at $30, it is the best valued gala event on the Sunshine Coast. We are expecting to sell out so don’t wait to buy your tickets!
You can purchase tickets at, Seaside Visitors Centre., Wilson Creek Shell, SECHELT ROTARY MEMBERS, Sunshine Coast Olive Oil co., Laedeli, Sunshine Coast Hospice Society.
A bus to the event is scheduled for Gibsons attendees. To reserve your seat on the Gibsons event bus email: gibsons.rotary@gmail.com
