photosThis residence has been designed to take full advantage of stunning panoramic views of Howe Sound and Coastal Mountains to the east, as well as more intimate views of a neighbouring ravine and forest to the south. Large expanses of glass on the view sides are contrasted with protective closed walls to the west which will provide privacy and noise protection from an adjacent road. A pond with falling water and planting of tall grasses at the entrance will provide a sense of calm. Consideration has be given to the display the owner’s extensive collection of paintings, which were inserted into the design model to study scale and lighting for the displays.
